To say this is under construction is an understatement. I have an idea germinating. I have a desire to write some stuff. I've noticed that my tendency to leap right into writing novels is ambitious and ultimately overwhelming and then I fall away from it again. I'd like to break that cycle. I'd like to work myself into a writing habit. I recognize and acknowledge that this is probably the worst time to do so, due to RL things, but if I put it off, it'll never happen!
And so:
* Step one is to set up a blog for the germination of my idea. Fertile ground, as it were. Check!
* Step two will be to start taking pictures of every day things that catch my attention.
* Step three will be to write little ficlets inspired by the pictures. (Or perhaps to take pictures inspired by ficlet ideas, though really, the plan is the former more than the latter.)
* Step four, get into the habit of doing this daily (or near daily).
We'll see what comes of it. It's an experiment. I often find myself inspired with the desire to write something, but buckling under the idea of trying to work on a longer piece. Maybe this will be a stepping stone to something more. Maybe this will just be another idea that fizzles. Maybe this will be the path to fame and riches! Okay, I rather doubt that last one. I better buy a Powerball ticket.
In the meantime, Unders Hedges is under construction while I futz with the layout and figure out how I want things to appear and where and in what order and get a couple of pictures under my belt with which to work.
